Any tips on what to feed my dog and what about supplements? I see cans of stuff that says it contains sweet potatos & duck, venison & potatos and rabbit & rice, etc.
When I was a kid (and this might sound awlful) my mom fed out dogs horsemeat that she got from the butcher and cooked herself. She combined it with barley and wheat germ also.
I havn't seen horsemeat in stores here but I have seen it in Pennsylvania in the Amish country.
Any thoughts?

The lamb and rice dog food is suppose to best for a huskys sensitive tummy. Here is a web page for an allergen free dog food: www.healthyfoodforpets.com/lamb.htmlMake sure that the first ingredient isn't cornmeal....

Thanks for the info. I'll look it up tonight for sure. Fortunately cooking chicken for her isn't a big deal since I eat a lot of chicken myself and it's also good for Mr.Lucky. I like to go to Costco on a Saturday and get the biggest rotissery chicken I can find. Dogs & I get mighty fine eating for the weekend then.
